Finally, The Rescues concert

I had no idea what I'd signed on for. Eddie's Attic had Garrison Starr and The Rescues playing and I said I'd go because, well, it was a decent price and I love Garrison.

I didn't know much by The Rescues, in fact I'd never heard a whole song. Though I've heard clips on Grey's and Army Wives like all the other tv addicts, I liked their sound but wasn't expecting much.

Their first song - Let Loose the Horses - gave me goosebumps. It was incredible!! There is no experience like the first time you hear an amazing band playing together for the first time. I instinctively smiled.

The Rescues are a combination of 4 singer/songwriters:
Adrianne Gonzalez (whom we have heard before and seen at various concerts)
Kyler England
Rob Giles
Gabriel Mann

They are all phenomenal musicians. You think singer/songwriter so they know guitar. No, these guys can play it all. The whole show was a revolving instrument act. Everyone had their turn at the drums, even Gabriel Mann who seemed most comfortable at the keyboard. And Rob Giles can play the bass and the drum set at the same time... that is insane and wickedly awesome.

I honestly can't tell you how amazing this concert was because I can't capture it's essence fully in the right words. You have to see them live. Check them out and buy their new album!!

Okay, enjoy this video I took. Not the best to look at but the sounds pretty good for a cell phone... guess that's what I get for buying a Droid. ;)

Best gym playlist?

Goldfrapp's album "Head First," La Roux self titled, Racheal Yamagata - Faster, Sia - Clap Your Hands remix, and Florence + the Machine - Dog Days are Over. I honestly don't think I've ever had a better workout. Love it!

New favorite song!

I think I'm a little late jumping on the Florence + the Machine bandwagon, but hey, I brought party favors!

Dog Days Are Over

It's just moody enough and oh so powerful. Enjoy!

Quick Update

Well, I've been to two concerts lately and I'm apparently still gathering my thoughts. So I guess I'll tide you over with a video until I can work up the writing bug (most likely tomorrow night or this weekend).

Here's some lovely Imogen Heap from the show:
