Let's make sweet music together

Just because I love this song and this duo, Annie Lennox & David Gray:

Grey's Anatomy plays Lissie!

So I was SUPER excited to hear Lissie's song in Grey's this week. So exciting that I thought I'd post her video with Morgan Page since I referenced it last weekend.

And because I love anyone who covers Gaga well, Lissie singing Bad Romance:

Newish songs and good videos

Googling and iTunes bring great songs:

Linking to The Burning Ear for a great Florence + the Machine Song that you can only get with the Twilight soundtrack... enjoy this song cause it's right up there with Cosmic Love.

New Goldfrapp - We Radiate from the Vampire Diaries. See, good things DO come from campy, vampire shows for teenagers (and this 29 year old). Thank you sheenabeaston for your amazing ways of getting this stuff pre-release.

Tegan and Sara in a Tiesto song/video. No, I'm not joking:

Tiesto with Nelly Furtado. I actually heard this back in July/Aug but forgot about it until I saw it tonight. I actually really like the video:

Morgan Page - Fight for You. This is one of THE hottest videos I've ever seen:

Lissie, sings on Morgan Page's "The Longest Road" is a singer/songwriter. Check her out in this song, Worried About. Not sure what I think about the whole album but this song is top notch.

I know this doesn't make up for my absence but I'm working on it. Promise.

Finally, The Rescues concert

I had no idea what I'd signed on for. Eddie's Attic had Garrison Starr and The Rescues playing and I said I'd go because, well, it was a decent price and I love Garrison.

I didn't know much by The Rescues, in fact I'd never heard a whole song. Though I've heard clips on Grey's and Army Wives like all the other tv addicts, I liked their sound but wasn't expecting much.

Their first song - Let Loose the Horses - gave me goosebumps. It was incredible!! There is no experience like the first time you hear an amazing band playing together for the first time. I instinctively smiled.

The Rescues are a combination of 4 singer/songwriters:
Adrianne Gonzalez (whom we have heard before and seen at various concerts)
Kyler England
Rob Giles
Gabriel Mann

They are all phenomenal musicians. You think singer/songwriter so they know guitar. No, these guys can play it all. The whole show was a revolving instrument act. Everyone had their turn at the drums, even Gabriel Mann who seemed most comfortable at the keyboard. And Rob Giles can play the bass and the drum set at the same time... that is insane and wickedly awesome.

I honestly can't tell you how amazing this concert was because I can't capture it's essence fully in the right words. You have to see them live. Check them out and buy their new album!!

Okay, enjoy this video I took. Not the best to look at but the sounds pretty good for a cell phone... guess that's what I get for buying a Droid. ;)

Sia - Clap Your Hands

Regular version:

Remix:

Is it sad that I like the remix better?
